It could have something to do with the fact that last night we shared the chair and I got clawed in my derier when they got excited because I moved. They are spoiled anyway!

I just sent this thread to my husband -- I think he might identify with it. More often than not he's perche on the edge of the chair, because Suzy has the rest of it. Funny part of that is that she likes this arrangement, and actually encourages him to sit, so she can get behind him!

My desk chair is Abbie's very favorite spot. I move her when I sit, but she haunts me the entire time! The worst part it when she gets tired of meowing at me, she sits directly behind the chair right next to the wheels...God help us both if I ever lose sight of this fact!

Just because. I ended up getting a bigger chair and a huge ottoman in the living room so that I can share with the kids at night. My husband calls it the most expensive cat bed he has ever bought.

Ryan, you've been reading too much about Fwans toilet humour that it's catching

Rosie jumps onto my chair the minute i get up for something!, but then i'll say " I bet you wouldn't jump into my grave as quick!"

.... for the same reason Zorro sprawls out on the newspaper when I'm trying to read it; yet when I'm NOT reading it, he won't lay on it.

... for the same reason when me or my daughter go to use the john, and Snickers is sound asleep on the toilet lid, and we feel so-guilty for moving him.

... for the same reason when I move around in bed at night, I get mews & grunts of protest from several of the cats who actually own the bed...

... for the same reason when I make fish, I always make a spare piece just for the cats because if I do NOT, I will get those wide-eyed, "you don't love me" stares for the rest of the night!

... our cats own us eh?...
It's THEIR house, not YOURS.
