...but the Dave Matthews Band still completely rocks!

Their new CD "Stand Up" came out today and, of course, I've already played through it 3 times
. If you're a fan of their early stuff ("Remember Two Things", "Under The Table and Dreaming") you'll really love this CD. Lots of instrumentals; they really jam on this one! I give it 2 thumbs and all the kits' paws up!

(See here if you don't know where I got the title of this thread from: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive...tthews_1.html)

Lol. And I'm definitely more of a fan of their early stuff so I'll have to check it out. Hmm... to buy on itunes or the cd itself. Decisions...

On a side note... I've seen them in concert. La la la!

Oh Rigel.... thank you for giving DMB a chance
They are such an immensely talented band....Carter Beauford on drums.....Boyd Tinsley on violin... LeRoi Moore on several different saxophones....when they play, it's MAGIC!

Did you just LOVE them in concert Ari????
Dave is such a cutie! If you have a Best Buy in your area, the CD is only $9.99 today!

Yeah....didn't you notice a rather "earthy, different" smell eminating from some of the concert-goers?

Yay, now I know where I am stopping after work today! DMB is my all time favorite band, I've pretty much worn out all of my CDs. I hopped onto this post thinking it was Dave bashing, cool to see there are other Dave fans

I love Dave Matthews and love the way he dances..kind of all shirky and quirky...I have a crush on him
but only have one of his CD's that a friend burned that I love..
Its the one with "Crash Into Me" song and all the others that I don't know the names of but I love turning it up and "clean dancing" to it! (not the reverse form of dirty dancing but rather how I dance when I clean..lol..)

I love him too. He is such a cutie

The CD you are referring to is "Crash" and it is one of their best. This is right up there though. If you like DMB, you'll love this CD- I PROMISE!!!!

Gail, always glad to provide my opinion on stuff

I've always liked DMB but I've only liked 2 whole CD's enough to actually buy--those being "Under the Table and Dreaming" and "Crash". Glad to hear his new CD rocks. I may actually BUY this one (instead of getting my friend Stephen to burn it for me
Sshhhhhhhh!)

Thanks for the review Aimes, you seem to have great taste so I'm gonna trust you on this one!

Yup, I love the bayou song too! I think my favorite, though, is Dreamgirl

Gail, I'm glad you are giving the CD a shot
Which Stones CD did you get? 40 Licks is an AWESOME collection of their music!
