It's a non-Claire related post!

Pete's been with us for 3 1/2 months now and, while he and Katie (my oldest) are getting along better than I anticipated, Gracie (6) still hisses, growls and swats at him pretty regularly. Sometimes it's when he's playing too enthusiastically, so I understand the reaction. Other times, it's unprovoked. He'll just walk past her and she go after him. He occasionally swats her back or turns around and walks away. Doesn't seem to bother him. Pete is the first cat (other than Katie who preceeded Gracie) that she's been around much. We did the introductions slowly and followed the guidelines. Just wondering if I can expect their relationship to improve over time, or is this it? I just hate seeing Gracie so upset. Is this a situation where Feliway might help? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

I would try the Feliway. It may just take time, lots of it. Cali and Sturgis have a love hate relationship going on for over a year now. Spirit has just started to play with Sturgis (growling and hissing the whole time), that has taken 2 years. Cali and Spirit hate each other, Spirit chases Trouble (though I think she is trying to play). Some cats are just take more time than others.
