I need someone to help me.
LILO is pregnant and due any day now.
But she has been sick.
The vet just put her on ALBON oral and also 2 ALBON shots.
He never did do testing.

I locked her up in her room since this morning and when I went to check on her today about 4:30 her private part was contracting!!!!!!!!! I have never heard of that.
Is that ok?

Since there isn't always someone on this board to assist with questions...you may want to also contact an emergency vet office. Oftentimes they will answer questions over the phone and let you know if you should bring the cat in.

Hey hon, firstly, take a couple of deeeep breaths, ok? Then I'd follow Katie's suggestion and call the vet or ER vet. When you call be able to explain her sickness, the treatment, and then what's going on now. The vet should be able to tell you if its a normal reaction, or if you need to bring her in. If they won't talk to you about it, it would be a wise thing to take her in anyway. If something is wrong, they can help, if not, they will have relieved your mind, ok?

Breathe ... now breathe again ...

It sounds like your girl may be getting ready to have her babies. Relax, get into some comfy clothes and be prepared to assist her. Does she have a nest already picked out and are (and she) happy with it's location?

Also... I just checked on her and she will not let me check her private part!! And I do not want to upset her. She did let me touch her belly for awhile and the babies do not seem near as active as normal.

I know I seem like I am freaking out ... but, well, ok maybe I am!!!

Well, then stop freaking out *smile* If you know you are then you can choose to stop right? I know ... it all sounds so easy when I am sitting here gosh-only-knows how far away behind my computer screen - but really, most cats deliver just fine without any problems. Go and read this article if you haven't already ...

and NO MORE COFFEE FOR YOU! *snicker*

I'll be back in about an hour to check in. Until then, just watch her and you'll both be fine.

Lol, freaking out isn't that hard to do, not when your baby is having babies! Oh, and I feel your pain, we no longer have an ER vet around here either....the closest one for me is at least an hour away now. If I recall, just before my queen had her litters, she didn't want anyone touching her private parts either.....guess I can't blame her, it probably hurts! Now, as Gaye said, get comfortable, and calmer....she'll pick up on your stress.

OK!! So that is normal?
It was really weird to see her privat part contracting like that. It was like a watching a heart beat!!!
Well "her room" is our storage room. More than half of it is hers. it is quite big. I have set up 3 different nesting areas for her. One that I think she is "taking to a little" is actually my girls princess tent...LOL
It is very private and I set her up a clothes basket with blankets in it.

I am sorry if I seem crazy but I love her and she has been sick the past couple of weeks. And ignoring me like crazy ..... just has not been herself at all. And I have never been through this part of it. My mom always did this part when we were little.

So please reassure me that her private contracting is normal. Thank you!!

Lol, that's one of the reasons why we're here, hon. Now, you don't by any chance chat on MSN or Yahoo, do you?

Coolness! Since all is pretty much well, I'm going to disappear, Gaye will be back in a bit to check on you. My kits are telling me its way past their dinner time, and I'm a couple of hours late for my bedtime! Hopefully, I'll log on tomorrow morning to find out that you have a whole litter of healthy, hungry lil' kittens in your house!
