You were such a lucky kitty to have such a wonderful mother like Donna. A mother, who did the right thing by you, even though it killed her, and the pain will be with her, for a long, long time to come.


I know you're free now, of all the pain, and are the happiest little kitty.

Thank you Colby for your kinds words. I will miss her so much as she was my very first rescue.

Marina Mar (Mar is Spanish for ocean) was born to a feral mother on a boat in a marina. She was rescued at 2 weeks of age and I bottle fed her. She had a tough life from the very beginning, coming close to dying because she would not eat.

You are now free of your pain. Be happy at the Bridge my little black beauty and know that one day we will be together again. I love you with all my heart and always will.

Oh Donna I'm so sorry to hear about Marina. I know it was a tough decisin for you. My deepest sympathies and thoughts are with you.

M – is for Marina Mar, I’ve loved her from the start.

A – is for the Awareness that she quickly won my heart.

R – is for Remarkable that she even did survive.

I – is for Intelligence, she was so excited to be alive.

N – is for the Nearness of her head upon my chest.

A – is for her Awesome purrs when she would be at rest.

M – is for the Memories, that I have and I hold dear.

A – is for her Absence, for she is no longer here.

R – is for Remembering my little butterfly,
now released from all her pain
she dances cross the sky.

Thats a wondeful tribute to a beautiful kitty Mary Anne, you have a lot of talent, theres a lot of emotion in your writing Donna, I just want you to know that no matter what anyone says about you, you are a beautiful person, inside and out. I'm blessed to be getting to know you better :angel2: :angel4: :angel4:

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it. That poem touched my heart and emotions. It's now laminated with Marina Mar's picture on my refrigerator.
