Am I the only one that feels this way?

I just thought of this when I seen the top 1000 High Schools Thread. So...This school year the high school that I went to opened up a new section of the school, they put all the highschool students in the new part and the elementery in the old part. I think this is a accident just waiting to happen.I mean what are they thinking putting the highschool and elementery together? When I have kids I would never send them to a school where those to are together and what bugs me the most is my niece will be going to that school when she gets older. If they dont move and I so hope they do!Ok sorry that was just a rant I'v been holding on to for a long time. It just don't seem right!

At our school, the elementary and junior high kids ride the same bus. I don't like it either, but otherwise the school system is great.

My town is a poor town but our school system and courts and anyother system in the town is so messed up. We are talking about a school where the school principle got cought doing drugs with students( this is not a joke either,it really did happen) Bomb threats would happen at least every month and 6 percent of the time they did find some type of weapon in the the school. They don't watch the kids for crap, it's just so bad is not funny it would be different if they put them together in a school where they knew how to run it but for this school somthing bound to go wrong.

That is just terrible. I am fortunate to live in an upper middle class town, with a great school system. We do have a significant "poor" population, but they tend to be the working poor for the most part. We have minimal crime, etc. Any drugs in the school is addressed as a serious problem.

My oldest dd had some issues on the bus when she was younger, with an older boy propositioning her. It was probably a joke on his part, but she took it seriously and it scared her quite a bit.

No one else has had trouble, and in fact we have had the same bus driver now for 5-6 years, and she is fantastic. No more problems on the bus-she knows who is who, and keeps them in line!

Are you attending the awful school, or do you have kids there?

While very few Wiconsin schools made the list I'm not worried as Wisconsin students consistently lead the nation in SAT scores. Plus we pay lots of proerty taxes so the schools are adequately funded.
