Scar in Ear...Help!

Help please! My 3 year old cat Izzy has a scar on the edge of her ear, kinda inside but kinda on her head. It looks like it is dried blood. I tried to clean it with a Q tip and water, but it is still there. It didn't seem to hurt her when I cleaned it. Could it be ear mites? She is scratching her ears a lot. The website said that ear mites look like a dirty, waxy ear. She has that, but I can clean it with a Q tip and it looks better. Should I bring her to a vet or am I freaking out over nothing?

She probably has ear mites, but don't use qtips- you need ear mite medicine from your vet, and q tips if the cat jerks can puncture eardrums
