Okay.... here I go again.
I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with LILO.
She is my 13 month old cat that is expecting any day now.

We bought a new kitten about 3 weeks ago that once we got hom he pooped and it had blood. (The next day I found out that he had coccidia).

Well, about 1 week and 1/2 ago LILO starting getting sick. I never see her poo b/c she goes outside and I never know where.

The other day before I took her to the vet I followed her and she has been going in what used to be a water well at my neighbors house. (It has all been covered and is just full of dirt now).
Well the other day I saw her trying to go to the bathroom. She pushed quite a bit and only pooed a little. It did have a little blood in it.
I mentioned this to the vet and he said she probably has coccidia like Garfield had. So far he has given her 2 ALBON shots and has kept her on oral ALBON.

BUT..............Just now I followed her agin and she pushed and pushed and only a little came out. I didn't see any blood this time though.
Could she be constipated? It has the strongest odor too!!!
Someone please help me help my baby!!!!

If she is pushing and pushing but only a little mixed with a bit of blood came out and she is also expecting her kittens any day then I would watch her carefully for signs that she is delivering. If she is in and out of the litter box frequently, then also make sure you check in there after she has exited - young, inexperienced queens have been know to confuse the feeling of a contraction and presentation of a kitten through the birth canal as needing to go visit the litter - so please make sure she didn't deliver a kitten in the box and walk off.

PLUS, I would keep her inside until after she has safely delivered all the babies---even if she hates you for it!

And, don't mean to sound preachy, but cats live longer and are healthier if they're indoor only...you might want to think about keeping her indoors for good!

And, sorry, preachy again--please don't be offended, but you should really think about having Lilo spayed after her litter has been delivered. Better for her, you and the rest of the world!
Too many unwanted kittens, too many health problems possible in un-spayed females.
Just my $.02

Thanks to all of you for your great advice.
Getting her fixed is the absolute 1st thing on my "TO DO LIST" after she is finished nursing. Or can it be done sooner? If it can be done sooner .. is it safe?
