My cat had 6 kittens on May 5, and I don't know what's wrong with them. Two days old seems very young for diarreah!
They are nursing well and seem healthy except for this terrible, bright orange sticky diarreah. When it drys, it sticks to their tails like glue. I hold them under the faucet with warm water running over them to try to clean them off, but an hour later they are covered in it.
I took mama and the kitties to the vet today, and she tried to test for coccidia, but didn't have a large enough stool sample from mama or the kittens.
Any ideas? I'm really scared because I have two other cats, and I don't want them to get sick. If anyone reads this and can help, you can e-mail me directly at [email protected]. I'm really concerned...maybe a little nuts over this...but I try so hard with my pets to keep them healthy. PS - I gave mama kitty some acidophilous and yogurt. Thanks!
