I have finally seen Men in Black for the first time. Does that make me the last in the galaxy?

I also bought the DVD of National Treasure on my way home yesterday. That was quite a risk, because I hadn't actually seen it, but had wanted to. I knew since it was a new release, I had no chance of nabbing a rental copy. I really liked it! It had just the right amount of intrigue, Indiana Jones-type mystery, and neat American history facts.

Today, I rented Spanglish (Adam Sandler) with a free rental gift certificate I was given. It was not anything at all like I imagined it would be, but I really enjoyed that, too.

Anybody else passing the time until Star Wars with a few rentals?

Ooh, I want to see National Treasure, we didn't catch it in the theatre. I loved Men in Black I & II. (The "Who Let the Dogs Out" scene in MIB2 in priceless!)

We are counting the days til Star Wars. We already ordered our tickets online for the midnight showing on the date of release (yes we are geeks and will wait costumed in line from 10P on just to see it first!)

Oh Sue, I'd normally be in line for the first show, but a Thursday at the end of the school year is more than I can do. Instead my best friend is flying in from Atlanta, and we already have tickets to one show on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Yep, Movie Nite fizzled a bit. Last night I was out watching a tribute band for Pantera and I took photos for them too. It was fun.
Tonight I think I may take it easy. We partied until 4 or 5.

I saw National Treasure in the theatre and really enjoyed it too! I also reminded me of an Indiana Jones type movie. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the scene with the rotting, old mineshaft made of wood. That looked very real.

Pantera... ROCK ON Ryan!

I'm watching Hotel Rwanda tonight on video.
Last night I watched Crash, a new Don Cheadle movie, at the theatre. I still don't know what to make of it.

Comcast on demand... and the HD channels, what more could make life worth living?

I'm glad you guys mentioned that you liked National Treasure. I heard horrible reviews on TV about it so I was not planning on renting it but I will now.

I worked all day in the yard, too and I'm feeling it this morning
We watched Moulin Rouge, a DVD my sister had gotten for me for my birthday because she absolutely loved the movie and thought I probably would, too. Maybe I was not in the right frame of mind to watch it last night. The music was good though. My DH likes movies on the strange side, but absolutely hates it when people take liberties to mix period movies with modern things. I told him to chill and to think of it as a fanasty and to just try to enjoy it. He bitched and moaned through the entire movie.

I have seen MIB I & II and thoroughly enjoyed them. But I haven't seen National Treasure yet.

Chris - I think Moulin Rouge is not (and I'm generalising here) a movie that will appeal to most men. Hubby found it really difficult to just sit back and enjoy it. Daughter and I watched it alone the first time - a much more enjoyable experience

I was liking the last half hour of the movie. He wasn't hard on the eyes, was he? I think I might have been able to get into it more if I didn't hear every fifteen minutes "Does this movie have a plot yet?" I'm going to watch it again when DH is not here.

I had a DVD afternoon, since I'm nursing a cold, hubby was at work, and Jamie wasn't about to leave his perch above the radiator. First I watched "Love, actually" (not as good as "Four Weddings and a Funeral"; I find it hard to believe that the film is rated "General, for audiences from the age of 6" here in Germany, due to the porn film stand-ins), and then "The Others" (spooky), which I'd seen in German, but not in English.

Love Actually sonds like an interesting movie. I love short stories mixed together, but that's not normally the kind of movie I would pick. The Others was good. I got quite a start at one point with the surround sound of my stereo.
It sounded like someone was in my house!

Totally butting in, but I didn't like Love Actually. I own it (heaven knows why) and I think I only liked a few of the stories... and I didn't like a few of the stories so much that I can't stand to watch them now.

We watched Sideways last night...my impression? Eh. I honestly don't get what all the nominations were for.

I saw Spanglish, and absolutely loved it!

The best movie I've seen in a long time is Sin City! It's still in theaters, but totally worth the price of admission! If you liked Pulp Fiction, you'll probably like Sin City.
