I just bought these beautiful Hydrangea's for Erics mother for Mothers day. I set them down on the table by the front door while I was bringing in the rest of my bags. While I was outside ( for like a second! ) One of the boys ripped up a few of the leaves!
Luckily they had spit them out onto the floor and didnt eat them, but I am so mad, they look horrible now! At Christmas time they had chewed off almost all of the wrapping paper off my presents! That was fun explaining that to my family! Has anyone elses cats ruined a present you bought for someone?

Around Christmas time, I can't put the presents under my tree because of my 2. They like to sleep on them and cave in the boxed and use them to "sharpen" their claws and also chew the corners.

I put a stop to it this year. I put my dog's bed in front of the tree. They get a long with my dog but for some reason they will not go around his bed.
It worked.

Can you just snip off the torn leaves so it isn't so obvious? Festus is a good girl, but Garfield can be such a stinker sometimes. This morning he knocked a cigarette butt out of the ashtray and started batting it around the floor!

Sorry i had to laugh, but don't you just love em!!

They've never wrecked anyones gifts, but at christmas when i was wrapping one of Stephanies(Dawnofsierra), Rosie just went mad with the sheet of paper that was on the floor and tore right through it, so i had to give her that sheet to play with

Movin' on up!
Rowdy rips the bows off of Christmas presents. Anything in a gift bag is not safe from her depredations, either. I keep those stashed in the computer romm, until the family arrives.

Yes, cats are sure good at "customizing" presents! Fortunately, anyone in my life knows how I love my cats & sees the humor in the bite-marks on book corners, the patches on the wrapping paper, etc.... Please keep us posted on Eric's mom's reaction...Susan
