What's the safest flea medicine to use on cats. I found two fleas on my strictly indoor cat Zora today while combing her. I want to nip this in the bud before it gets any worse, but I want to use something that's safe for her.

Thanks.

I use the spray... it is in a blue label bottle.. covers fleas tick mosqitoes and lice( i think).... has permethanins but at a .00000 type number vs some at up to 90%... it works here

We got something from the vet for both Bijou and Mika which we put on the back of their neck once a month through the summer and fall. The dosages are different because of their weight. Mika is just over 4 lbs. and Bijou is 15+ lbs.

We use Revolution, it is pricey but it takes care of: fleas, ticks, worms and earmites. That makes it worth it, IMHO.

Thanks, everyone. This is so frustrating. Only found four fleas so far, but that's four too many. Calling the vet first thing Monday morning to get something. Rogue, our other baby, seems to be flea free for now. But we'll treat them both.

I hate to say this, but if you have found four, there are probably many many more that you haven't seen! My recommendation would also be Frontline. I used it on my cats when they came from the shelter - the next day there were dead fleas everywhere.

Thats what I use for my boys.. it works great.. it starts working instantly and most of the fleas are dead within 24 hours.

Thanks everyone. Hubby picked up the Frontline from the vet this morning and we'll put it on tonight. The little one will be no problem. But the big one...yikes...this should be fun. LOL.
