Did anyone here attend the original Woodstock in 1969? I'm watching the documentary on TV, and I just saw Crosby, Stills & Nash's redition of "Judy Blue Eyes", which I believe was the first time they performed it live (though I could be wrong). Beautiful.

I have an uncle who was there, and well, he hasn't changed much from those days.
The music brings back so many memories of my childhood because my parents listened to nearly all the Woodstock musicians. They met in the summer of 1969.

I didn't attend either of the successive "Woodstocks", but I did attend my generation's festival of festivals, Lollapalooza, in 1992 and 1994.

If not Woodstock, has anyone attended a huge, famous (or infamous) outdoor music festival?

I own the Woodstock documentary, likely what you're watching now, and have viewed it countless, countless times! Oh yes, what a wonderful performance of Judy Blue Eyes! I wasn't alive yet, but what I would give to have been there!
Not to say they could ever compare, but I attended the first two Lollapalooza tours, guess that was '91 and '92!

Not old enough to have been at Woodstock, but I did attend what would probably be termed as an 'infamous' weekend-long outdoor concert called "Livestock". I went for 3 years running.

Movin' on up!
Nope. I was only 11 that summer. Used to go see the movie at midnight shows, though.

Would have loved to have gone to Lollapalooza 91, just to see Siouxsie and NIN. Couldn't get tickets that year.

And regarding the Monterey Pop Festival, that definitely would have been something to see, and with the amazing music during the summer of love, I'm sure it's a great memory for those that were there or who experienced that time in their youth.

I just met someone who was there, I was a little too young. I went to a huge historic gatherin/concert in Diablo Canyon CA in 1970's about nuclear engery, at the time it was the biggest event of it's kind. I went to the first "Sun Day" concert in CA also.
