Good Morning from sunny South Australia

I need some Camera help & Advice!!

Ive been trying to take some really nice photos of my Cat Blossom, but im not really happy with any of them.
Looking at everyones photos on here, they are so clear and bright!

Blossom is dark and has dark eyes, and is proving really hard to photograph.

I have a Canon PowerShot A75, which is meant to be a pretty good camera, has alot of modes, red eye reduction etc

Any advice or tips would be appreciated

I agree with taking pics outside. Most of my best pictures have been taken outside. My house doesn't have very good lighting, so I'm lucky when I get a good shot inside (but then again, of the ones that are good, the subject, like the cat, is sitting by a window)

Also, when you take pics, try to get it level with the cat. Pics where the camera is right by the cat look better than pictures where the camera is hovering over top of the cat.
