Oh wow. The roses are amazing!! How did you get them to bloom so well?? The soil here at my house is full of clay and I don't think the roses would do well at all.

Petals looks so happy out on her leash. Do the other kits get time outside too?

I gotta tell you Beth, that was probably the one and only time we had her out. I was SO nervous she'd slip her collar etc, I have kept her inside ever since. They are all perfectly content, but when they see us on the deck, they sit in the kitchen window and cry out to us........

Wonderful. I wish it would warm up here and the grey, rainy days would go away. Though the last couple of days have been looking good...

Beautiful flowers Susie

I planted some carpet rose bushes last year and I can't wait for them to bloom again this year. That is if I didn't kill them

Carpet roses are great. I bet they come back

Susie - Your colors are very pretty. I just went to the greenhouse the past two days to get ready for the weekend. I'm going to be very sore some Monday LOL

Wow! Gorgeous roses! Do you spray? I don't see a black spot anywhere. I'm covered up in the stuff, not fast enough on the ball getting the old mulch out and starting a spray regimen I guess.

Love that picture with Petals. Really makes you garden bloom. I can't wait either. I am going to the nursery tomorrow with coupons in hand. Yeah!!! Hopefully no more frost.

Oh, I can almost smell those roses! Gorgeous, too. I wouldn't dare plant roses here, though, with deer in the yard almost every day. I think roses seem to be one of their favorites.

Hey, Susie, your flowers are lovely!! I especially like the black and white one -- quite unusual! Lovely roses!

Wanna come sit in my yard? No roses yet, but I can offer you some California Poppy...

or on the other side, a peony or two...

Thanks, Sooz. I love them, too. When I was growing up an aunt of mine had many peonies of all colours, and I thought they were pretty special.

The peonies were here when we moved in. This one was a struggling little slip of a thing hidden under the forsythia (the garden had been somewhat neglected). We moved it out to a sunny spot, and you could practically see it say "thank you". It didn't bloom that year or the next, but just got fat and sassy, and next thing we knew it did bloom, and then it was giving us more and more blossoms every year. So it's kind of special watching this valiant little underdog doing its thing now.
