I have had a terrible week at school, and to make it worse, I am having company this weekend. A friend's daughter is getting marriedn, andPearl, her husband, and son want to stay at my house. She asked if her other daughter and her boyfriend could stay as well, but I do not have the room.
They will hopefully find a motel.

I dread it! I want peace and quiet.
Please pray for me, or send good vibes.
These people are LOUD.
It is in their culture, I guess. But I feel sick at the thought of it.

I'm sorry you've had such a rough week Bobbie

I hope all is quieter in the 'boro once you make it through this weekend with the loud houseguests! Remember, Tybee is only a 90 minute drive if you want to hit the beach for some R&R

Well don't feel like you have to be their servant. They are imposing on you. But maybe a motel will be found!!

I feel for ya. We're going to my brother's and sister's-in-law house to spend the night tomorrow and taking my mum out for Mother's Day. I really don't have anything in common with my brother (he's 18 years older than me,) and he's always struck me as a stick in the mud type of person. I would much rather spend time with my sister and her hubby. But, we've never been out to their place and duty calls ... *sigh* Plus I really don't want to try going to a restaurant on Mother's Day. It's going to be awful. Hopefully we'll all get through this weekend.

The motels are all full, for it is graduation at GSU.
I am hoping they will be with her daughter who is getting married tomorrow and won't be at my house much.
In any case, I am NOT going to trouble. I am not feeding them any meals, etc.
I do not even have coffee, juice, or cereal at my place.

The kids have been loud and bad this week, and I just want QUIET.

It will be ok, and knowing that all of you are thinking of me makes it easier.

***hugs to all***

Rose, I will be thinking of you, too.
Thankfully, I don't have to do ANY M Day stuff. Mama died in 1997, and I have no one....but 2 elderly aunts who live out of town and have their own families.

I remember those M Day outings! It is miserable.

I will. There is only one, Mike, and he is a 9th grader.
All of these people talk loud, not quiet and soft spoken, like we are used to. (By "we," I mean my fur babies and me.)

It will be ok.
I told my principal today that I CANNOT teach summer school. I need a break. It was only 12 days, but the students I would be teaching are the same bad ones I teach all year.

I just need to be AWAY.

She was relieved. Her funds have been cut, and she does not have the $$ to pay all the teachers she had originally thought that she could use.

Knowing that makes it easier. After May 25, I will be thru until we start back on July 25.

Glad to hear you are taking the teaching break. You have such a stressful job.

I also understand your need for peace and quiet. I also like quiet and both my husband and daughter never converse quietly. They are just loud people and I find it very irritating sometimes. I love the times when they are out and me and the kitties are alone. Aaaaaah - so peaceful!

We love you Bobbi and just know we are all with you this weekend.
