...collect things when you were younger? Or even now?

My mum has a cat collection that is just exquisite - beautiful pieces from all over the world. Our house is just full of cats!!

I don't collect anything now, but when I was little I collected stickers and - especially - erasers. I still have all the ones I collected in a big shoebox and they are just gorgeous! I came across them the other week while I was moving house and they bring back so many memories!

That is really cool!

I collect hair. Don't cringe... I collect good hair. I have hair from all my kitties, I have locks of hair from good friends, stuff like that. I keep them in a little box and each strand or lock is tied with a different ribbon. I just got some of Saba's fur (hair) and tied it up.

Fred Long Soldier, my best Indian friend taught me that. He sent me his long hair in a beaded bag with a note, and since then my collection brings great peace.

I did go through a stage of collecting business cards, but when I realised how completely pointless that was I stopped!!

I understand where you are coming from on the underwear collection... I just have so much of it! lol
Oh and also, you have to wear matching bra & knickers... just in case something does happen!

When I was younger, I used to collect ornamental Frogs... It all started when I was about 5 and we went to Sounthend Seaside for a day out and my mum bought me these little frogs. I loved them to bits. The collection just grew and grew until I was about 14, then I decided to stop collecting them as I had about... um... haha 500!
They are all kept in my mums loft now and sometimes, we get them down to have a look.

I loved them at the time but now, I think they are so tacky!!

I collect cat stuffs. When I find that it is pointless to keep them in my cupboard, I decided to take them all out and let the whole world see them. You can find my collection here. http://catscollectibles.blogspot.com

I just realise that I got a whole lot of them still waiting for me to take their pictures.

I collect candles and kitty items. I so much enjoy beautiful candles that smell so wonderful! Most of them I will never burn just because that would mess them up. Kitty decorative items make me so happy. I could never get enough!

Eddie, I've never known anyone who collected hair. Sierra and I better get some in the mail to you!

When I was younger, I started collecting stamps. I have quite a good collection, though it has been at least 6 years since Ive added to it. I still like looking at them all sometimes though, and will probably keep it forever...(unless I end up really desperate for cash, theres some pretty valuable ones in there). The other things I collect are souvenirs (especially sand!) from other peoples vacations, and rocks out of large bodies of water Ive visited!

Some people think it's pretty macabre, but if you could see all the bright and pretty ribbons and everyone's locks of (clean!) heair, it's very nice. I would love some from you - your long blonde hair - and Sierra's fur! I have Sasha's kitten fur too.

When I was a lil girl, I used to collect unicorns. I had SO MANY. They broke & disappeared over the years tho. I had some beauties!

Then in my early twenties, I collected Elephants. Once again, broken & gone, most of 'em...

I used to collect plates... certain commemorative plates, from unicorns to Titanic to landscapes to butterflies... I had plates all over the place! But... most of them broke.

Now, I just collect shoes. I have a vast and frightening shoe collection. Some I've only worn once, some only go with one certain outfit, and some are uncomfortable but pretty.

And, the best part about collecting shoes, is, I cannot break those.
Lose, yes. Break, no.

I collect 1950's items.
Primarily, this consists of 50's glassware, casserole dishes and bowls, etc.
I have a vintage diner table and many 50's postcards and such all over my kitchen.
very kitschy

I also collect 50's pinups of starlets and just plain cheesecakes.
Everyone seems to wonder if I am lesbian as they think its weird for a girl to collect
"objectified" women like this...But I think they are just beautiful and fun.
And they had REAL bodies back then, not little boy bodies of today.

And no, I wasn't born until the 1970's (a period I personally dislike esthetically).

I collect shot glasses. It started in high school b/c that was just the "cool" thing to do. I also collect stuff with mooses (meese?) on them and signs that have saying about cats on them. My laundry room is actually a glorified cat room (litter boxes, Litter Locker, etc.) and that is where I hang the signs that say things like "This house is maintained entirely for the comfort and convenience of the cat."

You know, I don't want to bring a downer to this thread, but last year a really close girlfriend of mine WAS run over by a truck, and one of the last things she said before she died was, `At least I've got my sexy knickers on'. She was always a scream when she was alive and she is the only person I can think of who would have said such a thing so close to death.

RIP Sharon beautiful girl.
