Hi Everyone,
Have any of you had wonderous things happen with you and your cats? Let's tell everyone!
My babies and I have been through a lot together. I've told you how I got my babies. (cat lounge) The whole event was strange. I called, to check on the mother cat and kitterns. The same day the mother cat was hit by a car and the kittens couldn't be found. The couple found only two kittens. I have taken care of them since they were two weeks old. It has made us very close. My other baby I found up a tree at one o'clock in the morning. The only reason I was up that late was because I had watched a late movie. We all are very close. When I fell down and broke my wrist. I had to walk home. As soon as I got in the house they knew something was wrong. They were all around me. One smelling my broken wrist. When a friend drove me to the emergency room and back. The girls knew I was in pain. I had to have surgery the next morning. But I would not stay in the hospital over night. I was worried about my girls. That night they stuck to me like glue. They knew I was in pain. They didn't leave my side all night. After the surgery I went home the same day. I Wouldn't let them keep me over night. I was on pain medication. For a whole month the girls stayed by my side everywhere. They watched over me tight, until the cast came off. Even after that they stayed close to me.
Two years ago my mother died. I was very close to her. For a year and a half she was bed bound from a second stroke. I was there all the way by her side, taking care of her. The night my mother passed away she was at home. She passed in her sleep. When I found her. It tore me to pieces. I blamed myself. The police and rescue squad workers told me that her death was from natural causes. The loss of my mother tore me apart. I told myself I had no more reason to live. I laid on the couch thinking of suicide. As I was going to get up to do it. My three babies surrounded me. Jumping up on to the couch. One of my babies jumped on my chest and looked me in the eyes. It was as if they were saying." What about us? Don't leave us. My thoughts of suicide disappeared. I had to live for their sake. I couldn't let anything happen to them. How did they know to jump on me at that moment? How did they know what I was going to do? It just seemed as if they knew. Between reading the Bible, believing in God, and my babies. I have surived the loss of my mother. I thank God for blessing me with such wonderful cats.

What a truly beautiful story. I agree that our animals understand and know far more than we give them credit for. I believe they have a strong sixth sense or whatever you want to call it for knowing when we need them the most.

I experienced similar things with my beautiful Siamese Susie. We had a unique and special bond that cannot be explained in mere words.

You are blessed with these babies and know that your mom is still with you in spirit and guiding you. I just lost my mom just about 2 years ago and I miss her terribly but I feel her with me.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

This is a beautiful story!
I love it.

All I have to say is that my cats know when I am sad or upset or sick. They come close and stay by me. When Ihave tummy aches, they lie on my tummy and purr.
When they know I need sleep, they come get in bed with me.

My babies are my family. There is no one at home but them and me.
They are my boys.

Wow what a lovely story, thanks for sharing

My blossom is my constant shadow, she knows when im sick or feeling down, she always manages to cheer me up.

Wasnt always this way. Blossom hated me at first.

Blossom is (was) My Grandmas Cat. We gave her to her, from one of our litters. When we would visit, blossom would run and hide or if we managed to find her, she would hiss at us. She hated children.
When my father passed away, I was still quite young, My mother couldnt cope so I was taken to live with my grandmother. This meant alot of changes for us, and for blossom! Suddenly she had me and my 2 siblings, who she absolutely hated, sharing HER house and worse yet - HER room was taken and given to one of us.
Out of my siblings and I, my fathers death hit me the worst as I was closest to him. It was always me and dad.
When we moved to my Nans, my pets couldnt come with us, which hurt me alot. Family members took them, so I could still see them and i knew they were safe, but it wasnt the same.
They were a part of dad to me, as it was always dad and I that looked after them, they were our pets. i KNOW i inherited my crazy love of animals from him.

Everyones lives were turned upside down - I had essentially lost both parents (mum had a complete breakdown and would go on to be in hospital for the next 4-5 years) and had to move from everything i knew, school, friends, pets.
Blossoms life was also turned upside down - she now had 3 kids to deal with! My sister and brother, although they werent cruel, they would never hurt animals, they were loud and rough and would torment her. But i think she could see something different in me.
Instead of running from me, she would just watch me and follow me from a distance. Slowly, she warmed to me -I still remember the first time she let me touch her, and the first time she jumped up on my bed - i was shocked!

I think of it as I rescued her, and she rescued me. She made everything that was happening alot easier. She was and still is my best friend and constant shadow.
Even though she was my nans cat - she has adopted me now.
