almost cried when you left to go to work or something and your kits are sitting there, winding their way around your ankles, like begging you to stay? I go through this alot. Is there something wrong with me?
I know you all love your kits every bit as much as I do mine, but sometimes I think I'm too attached to them!

No don't worry Susie i'm exactly the same

I get them in their room and kiss them, and tell them to be nice to each other before i shut the door, but their little faces look so sad when they look at me

Oooooooh just over an hour and i'll be back home with the little cherubs again!

Happens every morning, Susie! Cindy particularly -- and she'll even interrupt SCB (Serious Cat Business, e.g. sunning self in window) to do so. It's not easy -- they're sooooooooooooo good at that particular guilt trip. Doesn't help, of course, that you'd just as soon stay home and cuddle with them, too.

Yeah, when Snickers was so very very sick and he was still "in the woods", I did NOT want to go to work or leave him. I was pedal to the metal every day getting home to him.

I still hate to leave them all, of course, cuz they're so lovely, and they always give me that wide-eyed, "where ya goin?" look. Especially Snickers, he just sits on the toilet and watches me fix my face & hair every morning.

In January I went to Egypt for 1 week... I was so upset at the thought of leaving Guinness that I made sure I gave him kisses and hugs before I left. My parents collected me from my place and as soon as I got in the car I started crying
I just didn't want to leave him even though I knew that Lyn (neighbour) would be looking after him, plus he had her cats to play out with etc. awwwww

Always, since I have had him I hate getting home late from work because I know that he will be waiting for me and wondering, "wheres mammy?". It is lovely to get home and see him after a long day though, as he will make sure I know that he's missed me with headbutts and rubs etc! lol

The best thing that he does, if he is outside when I get home, I normally go and open the back door. He comes bombing it down the garden to see me and normally flops himself on the floor and acts all silly! awwww must be

I feel the same way about my kitties. It's so hard to leave for work in the morning! I always pet them one last time, tell to "be good," and that I love them. It's hard going out of town too, even just for the weekend, because I miss them so much. I don't think there's any wrong with being attached to our pets. They're important to us and add so much laughter and love to our lives.

I don't feel near to tears when I leave, but they don't act like they much care when I'm leaving, either. I worry to death that something will happen someday and I won't be there to help them, though.

When I'm going out the door everyday, it's "Bye Kenzie, Bye George, Bye Mama, Bye Meggie, Bye Middy! Be good!" That's a mouthful when you are rushing out the door

I certainly get like that. And I'm actually having anxiety about me working a 9 hour day and having to leave her all alone for that whole time!! It seems so mean.
(I know she'll just sleep anyway cause she does that when I'm home anyway).

oh yeah! very much. Sasha is more laid-back, just crashed out under his sunlamp or something but little Saba looks at me so forlorn.....so sad. I hate leaving. Hate it.

Nyah. I just tell Jasper when we plan to be back and go. The only time I'm "near tears" is when he's trying to get out when I don't want him out.

Guess I'm not a good meowmy...

mine's easier - i just say "be good girls - see y'all tonite!" but they don't seem to be at all upset that i'm leaving, either. i do tell them if i'm going to be late, like when i go to the beauty shop after work... don't know if they care, tho!

i always delay taking the rubbish out because teufel will want to play or cuddle.

He was angry at me when i went to frankfurt for the day and came back at 3 am but i think he has forgiven me today because he hasnt scratched me or bitten me hard and he has cuddled me

It's hard leaving them, not to the point of tears, but hard no the less. Before I get my shoes and coat on, I find them and give them a pet and a kiss and tell them I love them. Then when I leave I always say "Bye babies, Mama loves you".
I'm sure they could care less really, my aunt is usually home during the day so they're not alone, but I still miss them terribly and worry that something will happen to them.
Of course when I know that no one will be home, I worry even more!!

At the kitty's beck and call
My 3 indoor/outdoor girls don't mind - they're usually sunning themselves in "their" spots in the garden or asleep on one of the beds. Lily on the other hand, being indoor only is much more firmly tied to us and what we do. Instead of leaving her, she climbs into her carrier and comes with us if hubby's just driving me to work for example. But if it's somewhere she can't go, we have a game where we have to throw a toy up the stairs for her so she chases it and we all run out of the door before she can follow
. Sometimes then she will appear in the kitchen window to watch us go

I know that mine enjoy their alone time. On the weekends or on days that we're home when we're normally not, they look at us like - "Don't you have some place else you need to be? This is ME time." I don't get emotional leaving them to go to work, etc.
