Ok, I must be a crazy lady but I have 2 cats that are due about May 20. Or atleast I thought. One is showing many signs of delivering soon. licking herself constantly, labored breathing, nesting (I think) wanting more attention than usual but she still is eating good. The vet suggested I take a temp but that is a joke, unless someone has a suggestion. She wants no part of that thermometer! Whats some ideas? This is my first time at this whole kitty thing. But cant wait for the blessed events! Then technically I will be a great grandma to 2 liters cause the momma's belong to my (human, which I want to clarify cause my husband thinks our house is a ZOO!) teenage children.

Wow...that's going to be a lot of kittens. I know it is an exciting event...but do remember to place these kittens into homes where they will be spayed/neutered and have both mommas spayed once the kittens are weaned.

30flowers...that is what happened to my friend...her cat got out before she was able to spay it. I will make a recommendation to you that I should have made to her...make sure the momma cats have no access to get outdoors until they are spayed. My friend's cat ended up having 5 litters of kittens because she kept putting off taking her to the vet and the cat kept getting out. Cats can get pregnant very soon after giving birth. Good Luck with your 2 mommas.
