Urgent Question

My cat gave birth 3 dys ago. Today, I was petting her, and felt a lump in her side. When holding her, I can feel the lump (which is about an inch and a half across and fairly thick, hard, and bony like a kitten) near her crotch area. My neighbor says that it is just her uterus shrinking, but i believe that it may be a dead kitten which did not pass through. Am I being paranoid?

did you have your cat examined after 24 hours of her having birth? if not you should take her to a vet, to make sure everything is normal

OOOhhhh.. yes I would take her to the vet as soon as you can. They can do an x-ray to find out for sure.

if you can afford to take her to vets i would atleast phone then to see if its normal
