I posted this in the Cat Lounge, but wasn't sure if it could also go under behavior since it will hopefull help calm down my little one

---------------
Hello fellow TCSers!
So I have a 7 month old kitten who of course hand endless amount of engery. I have all sorts of toys for him - Da Bird, with one or two switch out pieces, a fishing reel with a mouse and bell on it, a few other interative toys, an over the door toy, the kitten mitten, and lots of balls with bells/noise makers, little plastic tops for him to bat around, and of course the rolled up balls of paper he LOVES!!!! He also has a mini house with a crinkle tube on it and a scratching post with a perch at the top for him to sit in. Even with all of this however he seems to get board, maybe because he has mastered these toys and doesn't go ga-ga over them like he uses to.
I'm looking to try and buy some new toys to get out his energy or one where he can wrestle out his aggrestion with me, so he won't continue to do so with my feet and hands
So does anyone have some great toys that will help him get his full play potential??? I love my little man and want him to have as much fun as possible, especially since he is an "old child". Any feedback and link information would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!!!!

Its a kitten mitten...which you said you already have.

I don't really know of any other toys I can suggest that you don't already have.
Cats are ingenious at homemade things...boxes, paper (as you said)...
What about a turbo scratcher???

Another thought on this subject (I am a toy freak too
)

I don't know if I can not suggest a product but it may work for you..
I bought Lovey some (Brand name) K********a catnip bubbles the other day...
I thought it would be a great time...
They are catnip scented blowing bubbles (you know, as a kid? or if you are me, forever
)

He didn't take to them at all..Just looked at me as if I were stupid...

like 'um yeah, mum, what do I do now?" and looked at the bubbles as they drifted down...

But, hey they might work for your kit...they all like different things..
I would give them to you to try if you were close!

But this was one product I wasn't happy with. I am going to try him again and see if he likes em though..

One tip also is to rotate his toys...They get bored of the same old thing..
Bring out three at a time...then put the others away until they are "new" again.

I find a laser pointer is great for burning up some energy, because I make them run from one end of the room to the other and climb the walls. This toy is great when you are exhausted but still want to give the kitties some entertainment.

I love KirbySticks because of their length and their flexibility - they are easy for cats to wrap around their paws and really wrestle with.

Another that I love is the Furball Frenzy - two interlocking circles in plush fabric, with catnip inside and a secure bell inside one of the circles.

An indestructible great ball toy with catnip and bell inside is the Monkey's Fist - it is an actual sailors knot made out of sisal rope.

Cosmo is very high-energy also (he's about a year old)... Here's his favorites...

Cat Dancer (looks stupid, but most cats LOVE it)

Laser Pointer (just be careful not to shine it directly into kitty's eyes)

Cat Flapper/Wand (a long stick with a bunch of feathers on the end - whip it around really fast and it sounds like a bird!)

Da Bird (famous and you can get interchangable danglers - it's the best!)

Eeeks Catnip Cat Toy (made by FatCat Inc. who makes AWESOME toys)

Rod & Reel with Fish Cat Toy (Cosmo runs hot and cold on this one. He won't like it for a week and then suddenly go nuts for it)

Boogie Mat (looks boring but you can put cat nip in it - also hide or drag things under it and watch kitty attack!)

And don't let home-made escape you...

Cosmo LOVES the strings from my sweatshirts (ya know, the ones that tie your hood closed that have knots on the end?). I pulled two of them out of the sweatshirts I had and he'll chase them around the house (with me carrying one end and letting the other end drag on the floor) for a long time before he gets tired of it! We also play the "over the side of the bed" game when I'm too lazy to move my butt
-- I just throw one end over the edge of the bed and then pull slowly -- he'll chase it up onto the bed, attack it and then jump back down and wait for more!

I also took one of the mice from above and sewed another sweatshirt string to its belly. Lets me drag the mouse around for him to chase, or lets me swing it back and forth for him to jump and grab.

And yes, crumpled up paper works great too

www.Petco.com has a lot of the toys above, and www.TheCatConnection.com has Da Bird and other great stuff!

LOL - You guys are great!

Thanks so much for all the great feedback and ideas... I think I may make yet another trip to PetCo this weekend and try to find some of the toys mentioned (that I haven't stocked up on yet that is
)
I look forward to spoiling the little one even more!!!!!!!

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Sierra definitely seconds the Cat Dancer and DaByrd!
These are excellent interactive toys! This special playtime together is wonderful for both of you. Scout gets a fabulous outlet for all of his kitten energy and natural playfulness, and it really strengthens your bond with eachother!
Sierra won't begin to even acknowledge the laser pointer, though. Some cats go wild over it! She couldn't possibly care any less.

Cali looks at me like I'm an idiot if I try to use the laser pointer with her, and Spirit will only play with it if it is within reaching distance. Trouble, Sturgis, and Milo go nuts over it though. Sturgis is also a huge fan of the plastic rings off a gallon of milk, he brings them into bed at night and plays with it between me and my husband till someone takes it away from him.

Aw, thank you Petnurse! I love his markings too! He's such a beautiful boy... Which is why he can get away with so much... I look at him and can't stay mad!!

Scout loves the lazer light as well, he goes crazy for it! As well as Da Bird. I'm so excited to go out and buy him new stuff this weekend. I swear sometimes I spend more money on him than I do myself!!!!
