Gilly your signature is fine. There are forums on the net that don't even allow signatures at all- just keep them under the file size and don't turn them into a photo album of your life and you will fine.
We learn about your life from your posts, not your pics in your sigs-

Assuming you're using Windows (this may be slightly different for the newer Operating systems like 2000 and XP; we still use 98,) right click anywhere on your desktop. "Display Properties" or something of the sort should pop up. Click on a tab that says "Settings," there is an area which says "Screen Area" which will tell you what your present resolution is. It probably won't look exactly like this pic, but something like it. If you wanted to, you could change it here. Most of the larger monitors are going to have a higher resolution; smaller will have lower. I suspect a lot of the 800x600 may be laptops. Just a guess as I have no personal experience with them or LCD screens.

The file size is ok, but your 'visual' size is taken up by the first large pic. When you add on the smaller pic and the ticker, you are over.

Reminder to all - it's not just about large file size. Members voice that they don't like having to scroll past long sigs time and time again.

Okay I changed it back to what I'd had it to before I resized the pic. I definitely saw how big it was when I checked this thread right now, so I think it'd just be better to keep it at what it is right now (one of my favorite quotes, lol)

I think there really needs to be a pixel height for sigs as "height of a business card" is going to be different on machines set at different resolutions. My sig is 150px tall. On my monitor at 1024x768 that's about the height of a business card, but on a machine with the resolution set at 800x600 that's almost 1/4 the height of the screen
