My cat goes completely bonkers for roses. Has any one else noticed this about their cat? Read that roses were safe for cats to eat as long as no pesticides were used on the roses. So we give her a petal every now and again.

mine think roses are tastey too. if i get a rose (not often) we put it high up in an inaccessible spot.

i never knew roses were safe for cats.

ps-mine even go after them when they are dried out.

So far, I haven't had any trouble with the few roses I've received, but they haven't been the fragrant kind.

But, Ziv is a tulip FIEND! It's a shame, because I love having tulips in the house, but it's like he can't help himself. He'll be wandering around, and all of a sudden I will see him start sniffing--first a little, then deeper, as if he's becoming intoxicated. His head will bob as he searches for the source, and when he does...he first steals a single bloom (to eat), then knocks over the entire vase! Some websites say that tulips are poisonous, so I've pretty much resolved myself to the fact that the only live plant I'll have in my house will be pet grass!

I tried putting them on the refrigerator before where there is nothing near it to get on top of it, she jumped on the stove and leapt across the room to try to get on the fridge. I finally had to put them IN the fridge, they lasted a month that way, but she was there everytime we opened the door. LOL
