Is there anything wrong with giving cats, Vitamin E oil from pills for humans? Or, is there a good vitamin supplement that you can recommend that is safe and has no harmful ingredients? Thanks so much.

Not sure on the Vitamin E, i'm sure someone will, but I was also going to ask what you're feeding them. A good wuality food will definately help with coats.

I'd recommend salmon oil capsules with omega fatty acids. One 500 mg. capsule, slit open and squeezed over the cat's food, can work wonders. Try it for a couple of weeks (4 to 6), and then switch to a maintenance dosage of 1 - 2 times a week.

We supplement the cats and dog with Omega 3-6-9 supplement. It has fish oil, borage oil, and flax seed oil. Not only does it help their coat, it also helps older pets with the slight smell that they develop and with their joints. We have seen a drastic improvement in our 11 year old golden using a combination of glucosamine and omegas. The glucosamine made a considerable difference but the omegas have a huge impact.
