Kitty with diarrhea

Hi all. I changed my cat's food to Science Diet 2 weeks ago at my veterenarians suggestion, as my cat was having diarrhea on the previous food. For the first week I mixed the old food with the Science Diet, gradually increasing the amount of the S.D. The second week I just gave the S.D. My cat is still having diarrhea. I've heard that it takes awhile for some cats to become used to a new food...but after 2 weeks, should he still be having diarrhea? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Does your vet know what's causing the diarrhea? You might talk to him or her about giving your cat some beneficial bacteria, either in a paste made for cats or in the form of plain yogurt. Sometimes that will help calm down the digestive tract.

I will ask my vet about that, Tobey has an appointment tomorrow. Thanks for your help!
