My sister is having house problems so Im watching her kitten. They both got along fine and now they are fighting I think. He is jumping on top of her and she is screaming. However, she keeps coming back out from hiding and jumping on him. Is it normal or should they get seperated ?

Keep them separated unless you can afford a large vet bill which just might happen

so they will never get along ? Someone at work told me if they were both a male and a female they would get along fine. Oh well, I guess she will have to take the kitten home.

I don't think you have to take the kitten home, but you can't just throw a kitten or any cat in with a resident cat without a slow introduction process.
If you are only emergency sitting, simply always keep them separated until the kitten leaves..Though I am not quite sure of the reason you are "kitten-sitting".

No, your co-worker doesn't seem to have all the correct info.

Sometimes same sexes or opposite sexes get along just fine..It all depends on the cat and the age and activity level as well as how well introductions were handled.

Let us know what you decide!!!

But for now, keep them apart.

Are they fixed yet? if they are over 5 or 6 months, they could be trying to mate perhaps? How old are they?

My cat evan is about 8 months and he is neutered. My sisters cat is about 10 weeks old and is not yet. My sister is in the middle of a divorce and we are keeping the kitten until she gets a new place to live. We don't know how long it will take for all this to happen. We would like them to be out around each other.

I figured that we would have to do it slowly.
