I'm in my parents house. There's three of us. My parents are both in the kitchen. I go to the bathroom.

My Mom, not knowing, knocks on the door as says, "Who's in here?"

I say:
"Mom, ever here of "process of elimination?"

She says: "CHERYL???" :

I say: "Uhhh, yeah????? You guessed it!"

Ya gotta love her.

My mom calls them her "senior moments" - I can't tell you how many times she's called me Evelyn, her sister's name.
I love her anyway!

That's funny, my Mom's sister's name is Evelyn, as well. Could it be you and I are sisters?

From a mother's perspective!

I rarely ever get to go the the bathroom in peace. I have the cats trying to get in to check out what I'm doing, or, most often, our daughter has a question she REALLY, REALLY needs an answer to that exact moment. The question - well one time it's was "Mom, can I have a sleepover on Friday night?" (this was on a Monday or Tuesday that she was asking!).

One night I was trying to have a nice, quiet, leisurely bath. She sat outside the bathroom door waiting for me to finish so she could talk to me.

Last night, I sneaked downstairs to use the bathroom. You guessed it! She came looking for me to ask me something that easily have waited until I finished!

The joy of being a mom! She's almost 25 now and her timing is still perfect! I love her to bits though.

Whose do you wish to borrow? Yosemite's or mine?

My answer would be NO. If I did that I wouldn't have any material to write about!
Plus she's my Mom, so there.

I got called Friskey once, as a child. I didn't mind so much being called my brothers or sisters names, but the cat!?!

When I was in my 30's, after a divorce, I moved back in with my parents. I still remember getting ready for a trip, and my Dad reminding me to "pot" (use the bathroom). The look on his face was priceless when I said, "Dad, I'm the Mom now. I tell MY kids to pot before a trip!" Old habits die hard, I guess!
