Prayers please?

Hey all! Wonderful news! My dad has decided to quit smoking! YAY!

He bought patches a few days ago, and he's starting to go through withdrawls. If you could, please, say a prayer for him to help him get through this.

I quit last Monday and haven't smoked since, so there is hope. Tell him good luck and that he can make it.

Tell your dad that we are sending good vibes and really the worst part is getting past the first 24 hours. I had quit for a month and the first day was the worst!!! I chewed on Cinnamon sticks. They are supposed to help when people are quitting.

Oh my god i went to my parents house yesterday and their walls were so gross i dont know how i never noticed it before but its all dark brown from all the nicotine!

Thanks everyone! He's actually doing really well. I don't know if they are withdrawls he's having, or if he's sick. There's something going around, and it sounds like he has that, and actually isn't having withdrawls. He's getting a lot of support from all of us, and I think that's helping him, too. He's been smoking for years, and it's strange he just up and quit, and hasn't had a problem. A few times, he even went without a patch! YAY! I'm so glad! Thanks all for your support!

Well, my dad still isn't smoking! YAY! He did break down one night, and bought a pack, though. But he smoked four, and I took them, hid them, then threw them away.

P.S. Wow did that take a lot of guts! If you knew my dad, you'd know not to mess with his cigarettes. But, surprisingly enough, he wasn't mad at all.
