This is my first post and I searched around for info, but couldn't see a post with the exact symptoms.

My 7 year old, indoor, male cat is very ill. It started 4 days ago now. He didn't seem himself, sleeping more than normal and low energy. Put it down to a tummy ache or such. The next day he was the same and had vomitted in the kitchen, not unusal for a cat. Again I put it down to something that has upset him or something he ate, like a spider or an ant or something.

Now it is two days later and he still is not keeping food or water down. He wants to eat and drink, but after everytime he vomits within the hour. He is very sleepy and last night had a hot dry nose, and watery eyes.

I am taking him to the vet tomorrow, but I wondered if anyone else has ever had a cat go through a similar experience? He was fine on 5 days ago running around and playing etc.

As I said he has never been outdoors, and food has not changed, or his surroundings.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would try to get him in sooner. With vomitting and not eating or drinking this could get bad very quickly.

There could be an intestinal blockage somewhere. Hairball or some other material. Is he having normal bowel movements ? Is he urinating? Any blood in either? That could indicate another problem. Watch for dehydration- it can kill a cat very quickly..
