How do you clean up antifreeze?

Across the way from where I live, I see that someone's car has dripped antifreeze. Is putting cat litter on it, then sweeping it up, a good way to clean it? There is a homeless man and his dog that are sleeping near it now, the man doesn't invite company, so I am staying away. However, first thing in the morning I want to do whatever is best...so what is best?

Animals will only get harmed by ingestion, right? Simply breathing it will not do anything...right? I'm sorry if that sounded like a dumb question, but better safe than sorry.

mop it up with litter or rags, paper towels, etc. then dispose of them. If your locale requires proper disposal instead of mixing with regular trash then you can seal the rags or litter in a plastic bag and take to nearest facility. Your city waste dept would have that info

Antifreeze is very toxic, it takes only tiny amounts indigested to kill. I lost my Grendel cat to antifreeze. If it's allready on the ground mop up what you can, and hose the rest down to dilute it as much as possible.

Cat litter will attract cats so I would not put litter on it.

I thought the same thing, about the cat litter attracting cats...thank goodness I didn't do that. I put a bunch of newspaper on top of it to soak up what it could. I had to rush to work but this afternoon I will check it. There is a maintenance man so hopefully he will take care of it. Thank you.
