One of the reasons I wanted to post about the loss of my uncle was to remind everyone not to take their relationships for granted. I'm concerned that some of my family members are going to feel some guilt for not having stayed in touch as much as they wish they had, especially now that he is gone - so quickly and unexpectedly.

I am so sorry about your uncle. I just lost my 38 year old cousin and your advice is so true. My content is knowing that my love for her was well known...and we made the most of our time, no matter how far apart we were in miles. Prayers are with your family.
