I dont wanna play with you!

My cats, i love them dearly but they never want to play with me, it kinda makes me sad, i want to play with them insted of just watching them. i hope that doesnt sound selfish. I would never force them to play with me, i try to throw their toys for them and they'll chase after them once but then they take them in their mouth to play by them selfs, any tips on how to interact with them?

Get a wand toy ... and replace it often. They make ones where you can get a new end toy and replace worn ones - I get mine at Petsmart and they are BIG hits in my house.

Yeah, go with Cat Dancer and/or Da Bird. Those are good interactive toys that are popular with the majority of cats -- you hold or move the toy and the cat plays. I can even make TurboScratcher an interactive toy if I want to -- using my feet and Nano will practice her reflexes with the tracking ball.

To re-enforce the play, feed them a quick treat at the end of each session.
