My kittens are just about 2 weeks old. One is a premie. Her eyes started to open and now they are sealed shut. I have been cleaning them with warm water. After I wipe them Momma will clean them. She just cleaned them again and they are ozing puss. I can't get ahold of the vet until tomorrow. Is there anything I can do for her/him now? Is there a product at Petsmart/Petco?

The best thing to do is to keep bathing them with the warm water and clean cloth until you can get her in to see the vet. She is going to need an antibiotic eye ointment to clear this up. Is there a vet open in your area this afternoon? Might give them a call and see if they will see her and give you the meds you need.

Be careful with the price of the vet meds. Most likely they will give you a tube of Terramycin and send your way. I can get a tube at any feed store for about $10....

I can't see your baby, but me, I now use the ointment with eye issues for a few days before ever taking in our cats for an eye issue...it has worked every time and saved us hundreds of $$$,

Especially with tiny eye cuts, low infections etc....so if they try and charge you more than $20 for the tube and you care about the $$$$....you can even get it at petmeds for $13. I always have atube on hand for eye gookies.

Good luck!

I am glad you are going to the vet tomorrow. With kittens this little, it can become a serious problem. It is in the best interest of the kittens to get the proper antibiotic for their eyes.

Thank you all!

I took all 6 to the vet. 3 have eye ointment. And we found out that we have 4 boys, one girl and one they aren't sure about.
