Baby Birds & One Possum

My mom sent this picture of the baby birds she's been watching from her kitchen window. Here they are peeping out. She said that the momma bird has now moved them out of the little house and she's seen them fluttering in and around a bush close by.



And here's a picture of a possum my dad caught last night. He feeds the deer behind the woods and recently has had a bad problem with raccoons getting into the deer corn. He's been trapping and re-locating the raccoons (10 caught at last count), but last night he got a possum. Anyone else but me think he's cute?

My dad has been taking the raccoons and now the possum to other wooded areas far away from his deer corn and letting them go. He's retired so I guess this can be considered a "hobby"? Anyway, it gives him something to do and to think about. He's not the kind of man who'd kill a creature just because it was annoying him (mosquitos exluded, of course).
