Hope she'll be with you after Thursday, she has a gorgeous head - instead of sticking my foot in my mouth by saying what breed I think she is, what breed is she
?

Thought so...I adore arabs, and used to own a really nice half arab palamino with a very respectable head for just a half arab

They are my favorite to watch at horse shows.

WHOA!!!!! THIS IS UNREAL!!!!!
I am sitting here with goosebumps all over me! I thought she looked like an Arabian but was so certain everybody here would only buy/sell Quarter horses.

MY mare that got hurt was 7/8 Arabian. Someone bred a Saddlebred to the Famous Jadaan (Valentino rode him in the Son of the sheik and his skeleton is a UC Davis) but did not register the foal. I bred my mare 2x and though her foals were really 31/32 they had to be registered 15/16.

sorry to hear about this saga. Hope that all turns out well and you are soon spoiling your new beauty. I havent riden for a while now but I just love the smell of a horses neck when you cuddle up to their chest. Best of luck with her.

I dont know much about horses, as they are twice as tall as i am and im always scared of them.
But those people sound rude and untrusty!
I hope something gets sorted out! and that you do get this wonderful horse

Sorry to read about your troubles. But count your blessings. I would love to have such troubles and a horse some day.

Thank you. I love cuddleing up to them too. I even laid down in the pasture for a while yesterday with one of my two year olds while she was taking a nap. It was just so relaxing.

I know what you mean. QHs just never "did" anything for me. I'd always admired Arabians, but could never afford one until the bottom fell out of the market. Of course, I could have been taken in by a pretty face too
...

Seems like all my horses had a lot of chrome. The one prior to Petra was a 16.3
Appy gelding that I bought as a weanling. He was only slightly loopy. He was pretty though. Used to call him my "stepladder" horse.

My Sahir was a arab/quarter horse cross...got the nice backend of a quarter back, but lovely head of an arab and with the right shoes, a decent floating gait

He was just gorgeous.

Out of all the horses I've had, if I were to go shopping today, it would be for a gaited horse, unless it was going to be strictly for a "pasture ornament." Petra's gait looked wonderful, but it would jar. Strictly speaking Billy (the afore-mentioned Appaloosa, here's a pic ) had a much more comfortable trot to sit to. But the one I probably regret selling most in retrospect was the Walking/Racking mare I had. It was just so darn comfortable to sort of swish along. These days I don't think my back and knees could take a trot at all
.
