I am getting ready to send my resume out via the Internet and as I have never done this type of resumae sending before, do you also have to send a cover letter? The jobs are in another town about an hour away so email is preferable to it getting there. All they say after the job descriptions is "email resume." Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hey hissy. If you are emailing your resume you don't need to send a cover. You can if you'd like, but once you email the resume it goes into a general area on somebody's computer.

I would just send it as is.

Good luck :flower:

Hey Hissy,

The whole idea and formality of resumes has changed considerably. If you are faxing or emailing one, don't bother with a cover letter.

Hissy, I'm probably not the most knowledgeable person on internet resume ettiquette, however when I get email resumes I'm more interested in the content of the resume, not in the cover letter. I'd say that most of the resumes I get any more do NOT contain a cover letter. The ones that do almost seem like they're trying too hard! (And they generally need all the help they can get! You should see some of these things!LOL!)
