If someone has already posted one of these topics over the last few days, pls forgive me!

For all those green fingered here, please feel free to join in and share your pictures, especially as spring/summer are here

I posted a pic of this lilac in another thread, but now it has come into flower, here are the before and after pics (isn't it pretty?)

Here is a close up of some bluebells in my neighbours garden. We live near Epping Forest so this area is known for bluebells. They come up every year.

Some pics of my Geraniums to be posted as soon as Photobucket lets me resize them!!!

Oh how beautiful!!

In the last year, I've started to get really into it. I am buying some hanging baskets if I have time and planting the seeds for my bluebonnets today.

A lady gave me a potted hydrangea (I believe) but it really doesn't look like one, maybe you can tell me what it is when I get a picture of it?! Anyway, so it was dying and hadn't been watered in 2-3 weeks. I took it home on Friday evening, watered it and yesterday morning it was in bloom again! It's gorgeous and yellow! I'll try and take a pic today and maybe you can tell me what it really is?!

It's a hibiscus! It's yellow!

I went to Home Depot today and got some potting soil and planted my bluebonnet seeds. I also got a little bromeliad and a hanging basket full of Impatiens (purple, red, white and pink!)

The calla lilies on the side of my garage are in full bloom right now. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to take a few pictures of the rest of my yard.

I don't have pictures ... yet ... but will get some tomorrow when the light is good.

Hubby and I planted two of the new Klein's Hardy Gardenias under my window and we also made a new bed under the white dogwood tree in the back yard. I planted 6 pale lilac lillys with yellow throats and 6 deep purple lillys with yellow throats under the dogwood. I also made up my hanging baskets for our porch - I used a really deark purple cascading petunia, a hot pink impatien and some vinca vine in them and I know they will be colorful and beautiful. I repotted my wisteria tree (have to keep that sucker in a container or it will spread and take over EVERYTHING). I planted 6 bearded iris that a friend gave me when she divided - I put them in the corner of my woods where the yard ends and the woods start. I also have 12 Calla lillys to go in but I ran out of daylight today. *smile*

Lots of gorgeous stuff, folks! It's great seeing everything coming along, isn't it? I posted some pics on the other thread that Gilly referred to, and will have more probably in a couple of days -- the peony blossoms are just starting to open, and will soon be ready to have their picture taken. Possibly not much more than that for a while, but we'll see.

Love the bluebells, and the rhodo, and the calla lillies -- lovely!!

love the photos They have made me miss my garden so much . It was a gottage garden done with drought tolerant plants and I had planted them all in zones based on how much water that they needed. We are just renting this house and it has got a low maintiance conifer garden. Idont really like this garden much at all, but dont feel that I can pull out any plants to start again. Thanks again for sharing. I love the white lilys.

Movin' on up!
Today, for the first time in my life, I planted something - English ivy. The west side of my patio gets full sun, in the afternoon and it shines into the family room, heating it up. Last summer, I put up a piece of lattice and Bill was supposed to plant something that would climb the lattice and shade the patio.

I got tired of waiting for Bill and went to Home Depot this morning. I am clueless, about plants but, I knew that I didn't want anything that flowers and will attract bees. The tag on the ivy said that it likes full sun and it was cheap.

The next problem was digging the hard, rocky soil. I raked up all of the rocks and let the hose run on the dirt, for quite some time. This got me down about 3". I filled those holes with water and let it soak in. That was enough to plant.

Plants in the ground, I added some of the plant food, that I bought. Now, fingers crossed, that the stuff grows. I hope that ivy grows fast.
