At last I can post some pix of hte great furrever home I have bought in Normandy, France. I hope we will all be moving there this summer! It is a stone house attached to a barn, that needs the wood cladding removed and some work inside to provide 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms, two large fields and an orchard, all on a hillside above a river valley and accessed only by a small road. But it is only 7 minutes by car from the nearest shops etc, so not too isolated.

All TCS members will be welcome to come whenever they want. Apart from the house/barn complex there is another old barn (not shown) that I am going to do up as a guest cottage/summer rental, so I have loads of space! There is horse riding, kayaking and rock climbing only minutes away, and I am only 30 minutes from the coast.

I swear I was just wondering about your farm, it's been quite awhile since you've mentioned it. It really is lovely!

I agree, ALexa! But it is in the part of Normandy called La Suisse Normande because it is hilly and dotted with little farms and wooden houses. It is really beautiful and peaceful. Here are another couple of pix - the river Orne in the valley and the view through (my) living room door!

Dushka is sitting in the bidet - her favourite place when I am in the shower!
