Going around the world!!!!

So my boss finally decided to let me have some extra time off this summer!!!!!!! My bf and I are going off on a 7 week trip and I can't wait!!!!

We leave early July and head to Singapore, then Australia and then we go to New Zealand, where we'll stay for about 4 weeks - traveling around in a campervan - We are thinking we might like to emmigrate from here to there one day, so we have a few weeks to check the place out.

Then we go to Hawaii for a week to do some hula! We have a couple of days in LA before heading back to Europe end of August.

I'm SO EXCITED I just had to tell someone! I'm sure there must be some TCS folks who live in these places, right? I'll be buying some guide books, but if anyone can give me some tips on the must-see things to do that would be great!

I have lived in england, italy, australia and germany.
I can definetely recommend you to go to australia, because i so would go back there to live, even if things are getting expensive there.

Sounds a wonderful trip! I know the USA and Europe pretty well but I would love to go to Australia and New Zealand.

Wow! Small world. We are passing through Singapore mid July - just there for 2 days. Are you going just to Singapore for 2 months? Or are you traveling around?

Alexa - when exactly and where are you going in NZ? I am a NZer who is going home in mid-August!

We fly into Auckland and are staying with some friends there, plus I have a cousin in Wellington, so we'll definitely hit both of those cities. As we've hired a campervan, I guess we'll go all over NZ, both islands... I think we leave NZ August 20th (?) to come back to Europe (via Hawaii and LA)...

I have been to Perth, Melbourne (3x), Sydney (countless), Newcastle (3 years), a bit of Bisbane, and a bit of Gold Coast. 22 days in New Zealand north and south islands. But I can tell you that 22 days is not enough for New Zealands.

We just have a couple of days in Singapore, but I'm guessing there are some things not to be missed? I passed through Singapore once before, but didn't make it out of the airport I intend to make up for that this trip though

What do you like do to? For shopping, go down to Orchard and shop until you drop. There are a lot of tourist over there. Our young people love Bugis and most Singaporean like Suntec City. http://www.suntec.com.sg

i will be in singapore for about a week from the 24th july then onto thailnad then cambodia, vietnam, china border then back to thailand. the trip will tae about 2 months.

That is interesting. I always want to go to China by train.

i've paid the deposit then paying for it in full wednesday. so excited!!

I'll probably be there and gone from Singapor by the time you get there, as we are going 2nd week of july.

Your trip sounds great though - the complete Asian experience! it's fun planning too, right?
