He won't eat kitten food!

He would eat scrambled egg where he used to live but he won't touch proper food. He'll drink cat milk and water but I'm petrified he's going to starve without proper food in him.

We only had him yesterday so maybe its too early to say, but we never had this problem with our first kitten (who is now 1) she ate anything we put in front of her.

Is there any other foods I can give him instead for the time being?

hrmm.. pretty weird, is that kitten food dry? I didn't have that problem with my kittens either, they actually would never eat nothing that is not cat food.

i gave mine tuna when we first brought her home. not too much though coz it might upset little tummies. and use tuna canned in spring water not brine.

his whole worlds been turned upside down so he's bound to be feeling upset and therfore not eating. have you tried him on scrambled egg (not as a long term thing but to see if he'll eat it. it might comfort him).

or else try strong smelling foods (like the tuna) or a little bit of plain boiled chicken breast.

Well I gave him a bit of scrambled egg and he ate a little, he is also drinking cat milk too.

Although he was sick during the night and I'm not sure if it was the scrambled egg, cat milk or both.....

I'm still going to take him to the vets to get some advice, but he has mounds of energy even after eating so little - if he was constantly drained then I would worry more I think.

I also put some kitten food into some scrambled egg and hand fed it to him and he ate the kitten food like that, so maybe he just needs to get used to the taste a bit?

I have some tuna in spring water in the cupboard - I might try him with a little of that - thanks for the advice!
