Sleepy rain. . .

It just started raining here - that gentle, quiet rain that's ssooooooooo good to go to sleep to.

What are some of the sounds you like to hear when you're ready to cuddle down for a long snooze?

Rain for me, too! I like to have a fan blowing in my face, too. Even in the winter, I have to have the sound of my fan.

The sound of rain does make for a peaceful sleep, doesn't it! I also sleep with a fan on every night, two, in fact. I also enjoy the sounds of the ocean so much, so I also sleep with my ocean sound machine!

I just love the sound of Sierra purrinng in my ear as I fall asleep.

I LOVE the sound of rain to go to sleep - any kind: soft, stormy, anything. The best thing in the world is to cuddle down with a book, in your jarmies (or whatever you wear to bed) the doona, your beloved pusscat(s) and read till you fall asleep!

I am one of those people who is unfortunately affected by the sound of running water and that includes rain.

I like the sounds I can hear through my open window when it is warmer. One night I was falling asleep to the calls of a whip-poor-will in the woods behind my house....

When I suddenly remembered I had to do something so I turned my bedside lamp on and was scared out of my skin by a very LOUD "whip-poor-will"! The little bugger must have been right outside my window!

Anyway, I still enjoy falling asleep to the calls of the night critters.

And Jasper's purr.

Me too!! I have to have my fan and my humidifyer all the time. I sleep better when its raining outside. Even when its pouring. I wish I could be the rain sometimes.

I need silence when I sleep!

In fact, I sleep with a pillow over my head b/c Bradley likes to fall asleep with the tv on (set to a timer). The only noises I can really handle are the kitties' purrs and SOMETIMES Bradley's snoring (as long as it's not those obnoxious, ear-shattering pig snorts!)

Yup!

Rain for me too. I like the gentle pitter patter on the window pane, very relaxing. It is also lovely to watch the droplets roll down the glass.

Kelly, that's funny. I used to be addicted to the sound of the fan too! My brother still is.

I love to hear a good thunderstorm as I drift off to sleep.....
