Nose Drool?????

This might be a bizarre one...

When I first brought Cosmo home on March 19th I noticed a little drop of clear fluid coming out of his nose when I was petting him. Just one drop. I thought he might have a cold so I kept my eye on him.

He's totally fine other wise and since then. No cold. But every once in a while when I'm petting him or when he's purring a little drop of clear fluid will drip out his nose!

Now Comere (RB) used to drool when he was happy, and I know a lot of cats do... but has anyone ever heard of nose drooling????

Maybe he's a little bit congested, and the purring loosens the mucus in his nose?

my dog does that when we pet him.. but my cats don't. Not sure what it would be..

My cat Marshall gets a juicy snoot when we pet him. Every night we play Marshall in the middle before I go to sleep. That's when Marshall gets in between my husband and I and we both pet him and love on him. He loves this and he lets us know by purring and drooling. We keep a box of tissues close by to blot that snoot!!!

Don't worry honey, it's normal! Marshall is not the only cat that I've had that does that.

I wasn't really worried as much as I thought it was unusual. I guess it could be alittle hay fever too since spring is upon us. But it's really just one little drop once in a while when I'm petting him.

Nose drool... how weird

i have a cat who does the same thing. he has a favorite blanket and when he gets happy paws, his nose drips. so far there dont seem to be any health issues - just laundry ones.

Buffy drools from both her nose and mouth. Its disgusting! Sure, it'd be cute when it happens, 'cause it only happens every once in a while, but once she was on top of me when I was lying down, and her face was above mine, and a snot drip dripped right onto my lips. Ugh. I still have nightmares, lol
