Do any of you enjoy watching it anymore? I do. I look forward to it every night. Why am I such a sap? Could it be because there is no swearing, sex, violence or nudity in it? It's just plain, pure humor........

I still love whistling the intro theme to that show usually followed by saying "The Andy Griffith Show!"
Don Knots rocks!!!
I haven't seen that show in years though. I don't have cable.

The previous owner of my niece's Quaker Parrot taught it to whistle the theme.

My 4 year old niece LOVES the Darlin family. Those are the hillbillies that come down out of the hills every now and then and play music.

If I could pick any TV town to live in it would be Mayberry, but I agree with Gemlady about Barney. Can only take him in small doses!

I don't get to watch it much anymore, but I did like it. I liked Barney too. My mom's boyfriend taught her bird to whistle the theme song and the bird got out. A week later she heard some pleople talking at the local store and they were talking about a bird whistleing the "Andy Griffith" song and my mom asked where. She went to the place they said and it was her bird Cujo. He still sings it.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I grew up watching that show almost daily. My Dad still loves it and watches it at every given opportuntity.
Andy Griffith is from Mount Airy, NC. Kelly, when I was little I thought LIttle House on the Prairie was the greatest!

I used to love Andy Griffith. Haven't seen it in eons, but it was great. Barney -- well, yes, there certainly were times I wanted to throttle him, but he did mean well.

I loved watching the reruns when I came home from school! Now, as an adult, I can appreciate it even more. Don Knotts was absolute genius on that show. When he would fumble for the bullet in his pocket because Andy wouldn't let him keep it in the gun? OMG, it still makes me laugh!
