Is your cat a Simon Cowell?

OK, we ALL talk to our cats. But now it's time to REALLY 'fess up: Do you sing to your kits? If so, what do you sing to them and why?
I'll start: I sing "Good Company" from the Disney movie "Oliver and Company" because it's about a girl singing to her pet cat

I also sing an altered version of Prince's "Little Red Corvette" to Cosette, entitled "Little Black Cosette" because my baby is much too fast!

(For anyone curious about the title of this thread, Simon Cowell is one of the critics on the singing talent show, American Idol)

I usually pick them up and sing "You are my sunshine", and anything that takes my fancy really

I sing to my cats constantly!!! LOL! They just look at me like ::censor::censor::censor::
I used to sing that "Oh Sandy" (i'm not sure if that's the name) song from Grease to Sandy when she was younger. I sing the "Oscar Meyer Weiner" song to Oscar b/c he's a big weenie mama's boy. I sing the "Doo wah Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Do" song (name?) to Diddy and Sui gets a version of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" (Su Just Wants to Have Fun).
The UPS guy came to the patio door the other day while I was singing the Doo wah Diddy song

It's a good thing I don't get embarassed!

That is too funny; they each have their own song! I have another one for Sandy: That song "Mandy" by Barry Manilow ("Oh Mandy, well you gave me your hand and you saved me....")....just change "Mandy" to "Sandy"

That's a good one!!! I'll be singing that all night now. Everytime I think of a song, I get it stuck in my head forever!

Brendan thinks I'm nuts because I make up songs to sing to Waffle all of the time. I really never sing REAL songs to her, just ones that my crazy brain comes up with. Waffle just stares at me like I'm a nut, which I guess is fair.

Yep, I sing to Jasper. He doesn't seem to mind.

My mom does not have a good voice. when she would sing lullabies to me (or my sister) I would place my hand over her mouth to stop her. Years later one of our cats did that to her.

Charlotte doesn't mind if I sing. I have found that Izzie doesn't like when I sing. If she hears me, she comes running to me and jumps onto my lap. Then she tries to get as close to my mouth as possible and starts meowing like something is wrong!!! OK, maybe it's my bad singing or maybe it's my bad breath? And no, I don't think she is trying to sing along with me.

When I'm trying to record Mika tries to bite my microphone cord. He's already ruined a $40 set of headphones. Think that's a hint?

I usually make up songs when singing to him, or sing "in the jungle, the mighty jungle, the Mika sleeps tonight" just to annoy him

On the flip side, he "sings" all the time himself... with that abrasive Siamese voice... I've become Simon to him!

For anyone who's seen the latest lime Coke commercial..."Put a lime in da cody cat and shake her all around"

She looks at me like I'm insane of course. But sometimes she'll sing back!
