Well days before the birth our wild cat kept checking out under the tv regardless of the giant box we set up for her in our 2nd bedroom. After she gave birth we set her up in the bedroom with her kittens but she kept carrying the kittens to the door and she would bring them one by one underneath the tv. Now this in the main part of the house where the tv is and our dogs that we have had for 10 years are getting the worst of it. My wife is really upset that the dogs cant go where they want. The kittens are 2 days old now and how can i transplant the family of cat and kittens into the spare bedroom? They would so much safer in there but mommy thinks they need to be in the living room. Thanks

Yes, you can move them, but if you move them to a place where Momma still has access to her preferred place then she will just keep moving them back under there.

Do you have an extra large dog crate, by chance? If not, as a suggestion for you, you might want to think about running out to the nearest WalMart and getting one - they aren't expensive, about $60 or so. This way, you can set Momma and babies up in the crate which you can locate in the spare bedroom. You can place Momma's litter box and food/water dishes outside the crate and leave the crate open in the room as long as the door is kept closed. But if you want to leave the door open for a short while, then confine Momma in the crate with the babies while the door is open.

Hope this helps,
