1 week old kittens

When do kittens begin to hiss? They were a week old yesterday. They make this face and sound like they are trying to hiss.

My little girl was hissing at a week as well. When her eyes were not open she would hiss until she recognized my smell. Now that she is 5 weeks she does it sometimes when she is playing. In fact she could do this kind of spitting sound by the time her eyes where open. Like Gayef said, I just had to laugh at her.

We do just laugh at them. I just wasn't sure if that was what they were doing.

My kitten Pepper who is also 5 weeks old makes that spitting sound while playing...I think its cute

That is probably it. I have had so much fun (and worry) watching my little one grow. I hope you enjoy your litter as much as I have enjoyed raising my little one. And they start to get thier own little personalities so quick. I bet you are starting to notice it already!!
