A delicate question

My boss, whose family has two nuetered male cats, just came to me with a question. Their youngest, who's about 1 1/2 years old, has been showing a lot of interest in a stuffed tiger belonging to one of the kids. He's been kneading, which she says is cute, but has also been trying to do other things with it (if you know what I mean - sorry!) He was apparently taken from his mother at about a month old, neutered at about 10 weeks and adopted shortly after that. She's very curious about this behavior. Didn't know what to tell her. Any thoughts?

May not be too helpful.... but my advice is to get a video camera, take some videos and send it in to America's Funniest Home Videos pronto.

My little guy did (and occasionally still does) the same thing! He's 4 years old now, but started doing this even after being neutered (at 6 months). I remember describing this behavior to the vet receptionist telling her "My teddy bear isn't safe anymore..." and she couldn't stop laughing!

My vet told me that sometimes this is a form of aggressive (vs. submissive) behavior - it's one of the ways the cat tries to assert his dominance in the household.

Nothing to be concerned about, except maybe the stuffed tiger...

Our Ebony used to do this. He would take our daughter's bunny slipper by the bunny's ears and drag it between this legs and have his way with it. He also was very fond of her white teddy bear that if you pressed it's chest would play music. My husband joked and said he loved the bear because it sang to him while he made love to it.

OMG, that is hilarious! (Not to make light of the question...!)

Cats are too funny! I think my boss will be reassured to know her's isn't the only one who does this.

Ok Yosimite, that made me crack up!! I had a girl bunny that would try to hump various things, including my cat Annabelle. The vet said it had to do with submission/control issues.
