Do you think applying cream to your body after your shower or applying the creams morning and evening makes a difference to your skin?

I use nivea soft for my face because it gets really dry and flaky when i come out of the shower, and ive just tried using nivea body milk which contains mandel oil and Vitamin E on my body.
Ive also bought the new nivea Q10 but ive left it at my mums so i really didnt get to try it out.
I use nivea because the other skin products arent that good on my skin.

what do you use? and what do you think?

i also use nivea, which i think is very good, or loreal, which is brilliant also.

But i think using them does make a difference, especially if you're peeling

I use Aura Science on my face (after using the face wash in the shower and then the moisture primer out of the shower) and I love it. My face is always so soft and smooth, and never oily! I live by this stuff I swear!! It can be found at most Victoria's Secret stores.

My legs get really dry so I usually use some kind of body butter or cream on it. That changes up though depending on how I want to smell! Sometimes I use some Victoria's Secret stuff and sometimes some random unknown brand!

I used to use expensive clinique stuff... now I just use good old Oil of Ulay and it works fine

I do have to use cream/moisturiser when I get out of the shower as my arms and legs tend to be dry. I just use baby lotion...

I got a free sample of Nivia Q 10 (for the body) at Curves and it was great. Soft and smooth, but not greasy. On my face I use Oil of Olay Active Rehydrating. As far as when to apply it, I think it depends on how often your particular skin requires. I use face lotion morning and after showers and any other time my skin begins to feel dry.

I've always had cats and dogs, who like to lick the lotion.

yup! You should try it with a couple of long haired ones!
I usually use a shea butter or cocoa butter on my body and am currently in love with a Pond's facial moistureizer for sensitive skin. I've tried the Oil of Olay products and love the moistureizing that they do, but something in them my face is very sensitive to....even they hypoallergenic ones! Yeah, I know, I have to be weird!

I use shae butter and almond oil mix after shower and before bed. I like knowing there isn't a bunch of chemicals that aren't needed and luckily...my better half says I am always soopa smooth

I like anything with cocoa butter. My new thing is lotions with kukui nut oil. It keeps your skin moisturized, smooth and prevents loss of collagen.

Actually since showering drys out the skin I usually use soap "everywhere" just the essential places if you get my drift. But since I get sweaty working out that doesn't work for me. I'm not in the habit of applying lotion/creams unless I notice my skin is dry. For brands- I'll try to buy the lotion/creams that match my perfumes and use them. Otherwise Eucerin for my feet and they are the worst, Aveeno for my dry skin.

Yes I do think it makes a difference. I am allergic to mosquitoes (I know weird huh?) so I use a cream made by avon called SSS Skin So Soft Smart Moisture Body Lotion (soft and sensual is the scent I use) and I use this brand because it deters mosquitoes! I didn't believe it until I tried it. I love the smell and it works!!! It is recommended to use the product daily whether you are outside or not because it soaks into the skin and will be more effective the more you use it.

YES! Our neighbor just got back from Paris <sigh>, and she got me this very nice hand cream that is wonderful. Sandy puppy licked it all off! What a dippy dog.

Fwan, nope, no creams will get "rid" of cellulite as much as all the marketers would like us to think so. Cellulite is only fatty cell deposits underneath the epidermis that are not able to be flushed out. Most of it is hereditary, the other part is attributed to diet and exercise. By eating a low-fat, low sugar diet and getting a great deal of cardio coupled with leg toning and massage, cellulite can really improve quite a bit. But creams don't do anything except treat the top layer of skin is all - cellulite is much deeper. Although they can help make a thigh massage or derriere massage very nice!

I used to use AHAVA for everything, but about a year ago i found paula begoun , and my life's never been the same

her products are great, contain no colorings or fancy ingridients, rather inexpensive and work beautifully.

I usually use this combination:
- cleanser
- exfoliation solution
- light gel (creme) for face/under eyes
- anti-oxidant gel
- thick, creamy gel for my feet and elbows

I also use her make-up.. her creme concealor is the BEST i've ever tried.

I think applying lotion to your skin immediately after taking a shower is the best time to apply it. I mostly use it in the Winter months when the humidity is dry. I like St. Ives. They used to make an aloe vera formula but they stopped making it. The 24 Hour Moisture formula works fairly good and doesn't have much fragrance (and I like that). Neither formula leaves a greasy film either.
