When i buy jeans or shorts i always have to try them on because i have a problem with them being too baggy in the butt... i dont think i have NO butt i think i have a ghetto booty.. but this always seems to be a problem... i have to buy low rise (which i love anyway) for them to fit right.

Oh and yes Someone else needs to post some pics since ryan found my semi bad pic! lol

There's no "too tall for everything on the shelf" option!
All of you ladies who are 5'8" and complaining, hush. You're only 2 inches above average.

I am 6 feet tall.
I am 6 inches taller than the average US female. And 2 inches taller than the average US male, so I have to look down at most of them.
I have a 34-inch inseam.
Therefore the arms, legs and body of just about every peice of clothing I try on is too short. Plus, I have a JLo butt, a relatively small waist and broad shoulders, but a flat chest. All of my "long"-sleeve shirts and jackets are more like 3/4 length, and I can't find dress pants ANYWHERE. Luckily I can wear jeans to work, and Gap is the only brand that even remotely fits my legs. If I can get a dress or skirt over my big ole booty, it's WAY too loose in the waist.
And for-freakin-get about high heels. lol Though I have one pair that puts me at 6'3.5". hehe It's a good thing my boyfriend is tall.

I was simply stating a personal observation. It is something I've noticed over the years... in my experience. And experience is different for everyone.

Personally, I believe ALL women should be happy with their body structure, no matter what the media (or men) dictates as being acceptable. And we are ALL beautiful in our own unique ways.
Amen!!!

We are indeed.

Actually last I checked 5'4" was average, so you're even FURTHER from the female average!
You can give me some of that height. I've always wanted to be 5'10," even though most people think I'm nuts.

I'm longwaisted
I'm too short for the long skirt trends.

and im an inbetween sizes person. So brands fit in a certain size, and some dont, plus I have the jeans are too baggy and long problem, I am a shorty at 5'5".

Aw Fwan, I feel your pain!!
In high school, I was a size 5 pant and a size 12-14 top
I was frequently called "Dolly Parton in scale" , and I would politely remind them that i was 2" TALLER than Dear Dolly. I had a reduction surgery in my last year of HS, and I went berserk w/the cute shirts cut to show off my then-perfectly proportioned bustline.

Now, I'm 40 lbs heavier, busty as ever, average height but above average inseam, so I have to buy avg/tall trousers and extra large tops

personal question... you dont have to answer if you dont want... do you regret having your reduction surgery??
I had it done the summer after high school.. i am 5'6" and i had DD boobs by the beginning of 9th grade and DDD by the end of high school and i wasnt overweight by any means, in fact, i was lovingly referred to by most of my guy friends as 'Nicole'(as in anna nicole)... and i actually quit playing softball because, well, i hated them and it hurt...
Now i regret having it done.. for so many reasons.. mainly when i have a kid, i want to breastfeed... but I cant now, and i just really miss them... sorry if that sounds dumb...but i do

I was just wondering if I am the only one that was regreting it...

I totally hear you, on ALL of this. I loathed PhysEd, I dressed in baggy clothes to hide my bust which made me look fat, and I was often mistaken for much older than I was.
The ONLY regret I have about my surgery is that I didn't wait another year or so. I had it done shortly before my 17th b-day, and at 19 I hit another growth spurt and went back to a (small) D-cup. I have accepted the fact that I am genetically designed to have a big bust, but still. . .
Bra shopping is a really PITA

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I'm petite, 5'3", with a very small waist, but with the natural female curves, so even though children's clothes would suit my height, they don't fit right since the children haven't yet acquired those curves. I like low rise pants, but it's difficult to find them so they don't require rolling up or altering so they don't drag the ground. The best fit I've found are from the Gap low rise short. Express clothes tend to fit better than others. I haven't been clothes shopping in the longest time, now I want something new! This is an interesting thread, Cindy!

Thanks Steph! I just thought that it would be neat to see the different problems that each of us has finding clothes that fit. It's been very interesting!

Let me just start by saying that most days I love clothse, but hate shopping. I'm in your narrow shoulders, bigger than I'm supposed to be boobed. Just yesterday I walked into the bathroom at work and found that I'd been walking around with one button poped open. Then to top it off I'm short waisted. Short waist + big boobs = a girl made of nothing but a head, arms, boobs, and legs. The worst for me is getting formal gowns altred and finding shirts that aren't all long in the back and short in the front. And while were on it, how come it's hard to find a reasonably priced bra that my grandmother doesn't own!?! I am 22! Not 82 thank you very much!

My biggest problem is being 5'2"
I have the proper curves, just too much padding on them

Seriously, in order to find clothes that are both short enough, and large enough, I have to buy 1X petites, which are NOT easy to find at all.
